Project Overview

Enfant Terrible came to Shoptimise with the challenge of building a new Shopify store that balanced affordability with high-impact functionality. We implemented features designed to drive sales, including a cart drawer with incentivised spending (e.g. free shipping thresholds), cross-sells both in-cart and on product pages, and shoppable image galleries.

Just as important as functionality was capturing the brand’s personality. Enfant Terrible is playful and a little cheeky, celebrating the joyful chaos of kids while taking design inspiration from France. We translated this voice into a digital experience that feels vibrant, engaging, and true to their identity.

Finally, we highlighted the brand’s commitment to slow fashion by ensuring the site clearly communicates that every piece is made to order, reinforcing their values around sustainability and reducing fashion waste. The result is a Shopify store that not only converts but also tells Enfant Terrible’s story with authenticity.

Objectives

  • Build an affordable Shopify store with maximum functionality
  • Ensure the store design reflects both playfulness and sophistication, resonating with parents while staying true to the brand’s cheeky personality.
  • Communicate the brand’s sustainability mission clearly, emphasising made-to-order production and reduced fashion waste.
  • Create a seamless customer journey that encourages higher average order value through strategic upsells and incentives.

Key Features

  1. Custom Order Integration - Enfant Terrible no longer need to make products upfront, and can make clothing once ordered by a customer. This removed the need to invest in stock that couldn't be moved, even during sale periods.
  2. Klaviyo integration for Automated Email Marketing
  3. Custom product pages - not all products are alike. By offering different product templates for different product types, Enfant Terrible are able to highlight the benefits of each of their different product types.
  4. Incentivised Cart Drawer - improving average order value by highlighting to customers minimum spend thresholds for free shipping, gifts or discounts.
  5. Cross and Upsells - helping customers find more products they may be interested in, in more touch points throughout the website, including cart drawer and product page.
  6. Shoppable imagery - allowing customers to find products they like through lifestyle imagery on the website.

Target Market

The target market for Enfant Terrible is parents of kids who are a little cheeky, energetic, and full of personality. They want clothing that’s practical for everyday wear while still feeling unique and fun. These parents have an appreciation for French culture and enjoy seeing that inspiration reflected in their children’s wardrobes.

Conclusion

By combining smart functionality with a design that truly reflects the brand’s playful, French-inspired personality, the site not only drives conversions but also connects authentically with their audience. Most importantly, it communicates the brand’s commitment to slow fashion, giving Enfant Terrible a digital presence that supports both their business growth and their values.
